Inspired by ancient memories of the owner’s quarters at the original MacTavish Inn, the MacDonald is in fact the Master Suite at Glenlaurel. Located on the second floor of the Manor House, the two-room suite has a commanding southerly view of the Grand Deck and Wedding Gardens. The living room/dining room combination has a gas log fireplace, a small balcony, cathedral ceilings, and large windows.
The master bedroom has a welcoming king bed, a plush lounge chair, wall-mounted TV and an electric fireplace, a ceiling fan, and six-foot windows to the east for the morning sun and indirect lighting with provocative capabilities. Past the walk-in closet is a luxurious bathroom with a two-person shower, double vanity, large lighted mirror, heated tile floor, and a specialty commode with a remote control. The MacDonald is truly estate living at its finest and is the only place in the Manor House for those with lots of stuff needing lots of room!
"This was our second visit to Glenlaurel this year! After an amazing visit in early June, we thought it would be great to come again and bring our sister and brother-in-law along to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary (our 45th in September). We stayed in the MacDonald and the Mackenzie suites; both rooms were just lovely. "
