A Fine Dining Restaurant in Hocking Hills

Featuring exquisite cuisine, artful presentations, and white-tablecloth service.

Dining at Glenlaurel is an experience to remember. Our gourmet Hocking Hills restaurant, Thistle and Stone, is legendary for its Scottish flair, quality ingredients, and first-class service. Thankfully, dining at Glenlaurel is more than an afterthought. Menus at Thistle and Stone are prepared daily with seasonal ingredients that build on the foundation of our nightly featured entrée. We offer a multi-course prix fixe menu served Sunday to Friday or a Signature Chef’s Tasting Dinner on Saturday.

Your enchanted evening at our Hocking Hills restaurant features a fixed menu in a romantic setting, accompanied by bagpipe music on occasion, poetry, and a post-dinner visit to the dining room by the chef, creating a perfect blend of dinner and theater at Glenlaurel. Overall, it’s a gentle blend of dinner and theatre that leaves ample room for intimate conversation.

Please Note: Dinner seating is limited. Glenlaurel guests are given the opportunity to obtain a guaranteed reservation for dinner at the time of their lodging booking. Should guests decline, those two seats are available to the first guests on the waiting list. We are open seven days a week, contingent upon a minimum of six dinner guests. If we do not meet that minimum and only one couple makes dinner reservations, they may opt to have a private dining experience with our chef for a fee. Please contact Guest Services to inquire.

Hocking Hills Dining Lodge Dress Guide

We want all guests at our Hocking Hills restaurant to feel at ease and dress comfortably. During the day, resort attire is appropriate, including breakfast service. If you are participating in our fine dining experience, we ask that you follow a more formal dress code, as Glenlaurel includes dressing up for dinner!

Suggestions for our lasses – a dress, skirt, and blouse, or pantsuit; for the lads – a sports jacket or suit, necktie, and dress slacks. Kilts are encouraged any night of the week! At a minimum, a collared shirt and dress slacks are acceptable. No jeans, midriff-baring tops, sweat pants, t-shirts, jeans, shorts, tennis shoes, or sleeveless shirts.

For most guests, our elegant meal sets the mood for a special occasion, so we do ask that all our dining guests help contribute to the ambiance; our dinner dress code begins at 5 p.m. in the Manor House with our Pub Social. If you arrive in inappropriate dress, you may be asked to dine alone or sent off with your paid meal in a box!

The Perfect Couple's Getaway

The Glenlaurel Inn is our getaway place to relax and enjoy time together, no chores waiting, no distractions. The cottages are designed just for that. They now have Roku available, plus lots of DVDs to borrow. The kitchenette is well designed, including a Keurig coffee maker and microwave. This time it was too cold for the hot tub, but we are hoping for better weather in February, when we will return. When it is clear, the stars are spectacular. Technically it is not a dark sky, but very close to it.
